“Architects create a harmonious relationship between objects and people.” - Unjelique Hajjar
I am Unjelique Hajjar, a registered architect (NSW, 2024) driven by curiosity, creativity, and the belief that design should enrich the way people experience the world.
I completed my Bachelor of Architecture (2020) and Master of Architecture (2022) at the University of New South Wales, and began my professional journey with NBRS, contributing to projects across education, health, heritage, and interiors.
My approach to design begins with curiosity: how can a space respond to its context while creating meaningful experiences for the people who inhabit it? I see architecture as a dialogue between context, people, and detail, where each project is an opportunity to discover possibilities unique to its setting.
I am especially drawn to detail and craftsmanship, often returning to sketching and model making as tactile tools to refine form and proportion. This hands-on approach keeps my work grounded, responsive, and deeply human. I am driven by a creative passion, striving to provide a dynamic journey through space. I am always searching for ways to create a unique experience that allows users to map their own path — becoming artists painting their own architectural journey.
For me, architecture is not about chasing a single aesthetic, but about transforming limitations into opportunities — creating spaces that feel timeless, generous, and meaningful.
